Liam did not know what to make of the wink if it was his or Brittney's benefit. Brittney gave Mariah a 'yeah right' kind of look and walked off laughing and acting like she was Queen Bee and then called out to Mariah as she was getting into the car "don't forget the entry fee for your boyfriend could be pretty high"
Liam put the picnic on the floor by Mariah's feet and pretended that he did not hear what Brittney just said and then got into the truck and took hold of Mariah's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze as he started the truck
"of course, now which way to avoid the cheerleader's party?"

"Far out of town. Honestly I didnt really want to go anyway. I am much rather looking forward to being with you." She smiled and tried to push Britneys words from her head as they drove on.

He smiled and squeezed her hand and drove in the opposite direction to the lake,
" so do you make it a habit of bidding on strange men in auctions? Or is this a first for you."
He smiled and teased her slightly. After about an hour he pulled off the road and parked the truck in a secluded spot.

"I have never done that nor did I ever dream of it...but I knew I couldnt let you fall prey to Britney. Besides, you've kind of grown on me." she said with a wink though honestly he has done more than just grow on her. She was certainly falling for him and hard. As they reached the secluded area she helped get the picnic things.*

Sure. Lead the way. *Mariah said with a smile and walked beside him, her hand bumping his but not yet holding his hand. It was a nice evening, the sun not quite down yet but it's orange glow illuminated the sky low on the horizon.* So have you ever been in any auctions or things like that? Is this your first time being purchased? *She giggled.*

Liam took Mariah's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze as they walked away from where they had parked the truck, in the distance the sound of running water could be heard. He smiled as he noticed how the setting seemed to illuminate her hair, he thought for a second as he heard her question.
"Do you mean do i make it a habit at being at the graces of gorgeous women such as yourself? I have to say that this is a first for me. Though i do have to ask is everything to your liking M'lady?" he noticed her giggle and stopped for a second gave her a playful smile and then spun around on the spot so that she could get a 'good' look at him.

*She blushed and giggled again. She then gave a playful wink and whistle* Why of course m'lord. *She smiled and then realized what she said....she had never used that word before. She shook it off and took his hand again, walking with him again towards the sound of water.*

For the briefest of moments he thought about grabbing both her hands so he could pull her in close give her kiss and maybe even give that perfect rear of hers a slight squeeze. No, he wasn't going to do that, he was on his best behavior and he was going to be for as long as he could. There where just so many things about Mariah that were so tempting but no was not the time for thoughts of her that woke him up at night. He took her hand and continued walking, it wasn't long till they reached the source of the running water sound a secluded river.

*She walked with him to the edge of the river and slipped off her shoe and dipped her toe in the water. Surprisingly it wasn't very cold at all. It was a fairly clear lake, and undisturbed by people by the looks of it. No recent footprints, no trash, not too many bugs, it was like they had just discovered this beauty. She was sure they weren't the first ones ever to come here, but she was sure thankful they were alone.* "Maybe we should have our picnic here? By the water?" She suggested and slipped her shoe back on for the moment. "I can wait here if you want to bring the stuff here."

When they reached the lake he let go of her hand and set the basket he was carrying down by a slight mound of grass. He smiled as he watched her place a her toe in the water "how is the water?" for a second he feigned that he was about to strip off and go skinny dipping but didn't. "that sounds like a great idea though i forgot to bring a blanket"

He heard her suggestion
"I can go get your shawl...."
He looked at the dress she was wearing and thought that it would be a shame if she got any grass stains on it. He was feeling playful and maybe just a little bit bold he said with a chuckle as he stood by the picnic basket
"you can have my toga to sit on if you want while you wait ...."

"Oh. That's okay." She blushed and giggled. "You keep your toga on. You might need it going back down those trails. Wouldn't want to get....scratched." She teased and sat instead on a fairly clean rock nearby and just watched as he walked away. She turned her attention back to the river and a bit of mischief crept inside of her. She looked around before kicking off her shoes and unzipping her dress and letting it fall to the ground. She hid both her shoes and dress behind the rock so not to be easily seen (or stolen) and with just her black laced undergarments on (the bra was strapless), she wandered into the water. It was only a little chilly at first, but not bad once she got used to it. The river widened a bit and got deeper as she waded on. Soon she was up to her shoulders. Just as Liam would return to the area, she would hide by submerging completely in the water.*

This is was one of those moments when he didn't want to waste that much time and all that running during practice would pay off. He briefly flashed his butt at her before disappearing down the trail. There was a tiny mischievous fae in the bushes who watched as Mariah stripped off and hid her clothes. It did not take him that long before he reached where they had parked the car. It took him a moment but he finally found her shawl in the trunk. He thought for a second about leaving his toga in the trunk of the car. It was ever so tempting but he was going to leave it on for now even though he had every intention of skinny dipping in the lake when he got back.
Liam ran to get back to the lake and as Liam returned the tiny fae waved its hand causing the clothes Mariah left in the hiding spot and his toga to disappear in the blink of an eye. Leaving Liam with nothing but Mariah's shawl as he returned to the lake.
