Liam's punishment

*The nurse took Liam into a room and got the needles ready.* "You're not sqeemish about needles are ya?" She asked him as she didn't even give him much chance to answer before wrapping the band around his arm and searching for the vein. She then proceeded to try to poke the needle into the vein but showed some struggle. She didn't know if it was the muscles or what, but she was struggling to get teh needle in the vein. "Tough veins you have..." She commented and finally succeeded. She took only a small vial to test first, to confirm that he was indeed the correct blood type. She put a scooby doo bandaid on him for the moment and left the room to get the blood tested. After a few minutes, she returned and said. "Yup, you're a match. You ready for me to drain you dry?" She joked with a smile and brought a different needle and a small blood bag.* "So this girl...is she a relation to you? A friend?"

*the nurse smiled and finished filling the bag.* "Well I hope so too, for your sake. You seem nice enough and she's a lucky girl to have someone like you...and your blood." She winked with the joke and then bandaged him up. "all done" she declared and then motioned for him to stand up. Penny was there just outside the lab and she was doing all she could to not smile too big as she had just overheard his conversation with the nurse. "I just wanted to show you where the room was." She said and began to walk with him down the halls. The ICU was on the other side of the first floor...so it was near the operating and emergency rooms. They made their way in and were apparently just in time as Mariah had just been wheeled in on her bed and being hooked up to monitors in the room. Mariah's grandmother had Mariah's hand and was sobbing. Mariah laid there on the bed, still, eyes closed as if sleeping. She had breathing tubes through her nose, a bandage around her head and casts on her left foot and lower left arm. She was in a gown that had recently been changed, some blood was still on her and the larger cuts on her were bandaged. There were several, mostly on her head and arms. There were wires coming off of her, monitoring her heart. IV bags were hooked up to her and soon the blood would be brought in too to replace the near empty one already in place. Mariah's neck was supported by a sort of cast, to help with the whiplash and the fractured collar bone. She was sure a sight and if she could see herself, she would laugh at herself and try to rip the pathetic wrappings off of herself.* "Do you know what happened?" *The nurse said as she finished setting things up. She was just coming onto her shift. Penny nodded softly. "She lost control of her car out on Pine View rd. Her car fell down the ravine." Though there was already rumors going around that Penny had been informed about through text messages...rumors of foul play though no one was speaking up about how or who was involved.* "Poor girl." The nurse said as she checked vitals once more before leaving the family to adjust. "She is lucky though. I know that ravine. It could have been a lot worse. If you need anything, just push the call button." She then left the room.*

*Mariah's grandmother and Penny were surprised at Liam's actions. Penny explained to her quietly who Liam was and after an hour or so, the two of them left. Penny had to go home and Mariah's grandmother had to try to get some rest and since she didn't live far from the hospital, she chose to go home to do it. She would have the phone beside her all night and make calls to check up on Mariah through the night. Though the nurses tried to stir Liam, to tell him he could go home, he didn't seem to be wanting to wake up or go anywhere any time soon. It was about 3 in the morning when a figure came into the room. They were obviously trying to be quiet and not get caught. It was a man and his hand rested on Mariah's leg. "I'm so sorry..." He said quietly, keeping himself as much in the shadows of the dark room as possible. "I didn't mean for this to happen. We were just having fun." He said, his conscience pulling at him...he was filled with guilt. He obviously did not see Liam on the floor on the other side of the bed.*

*The man fell back, hearing the voice and literally tripped over his own shoes. He fell to the floor and tried to scramble to get up.* "What? No...nothing...who's there?" He scrambled for the door hoping to get out before whatever was in this room with him got to him.*

*As Liam approached the man and pulled him out of the shadows, he would see that it was Joel. He was trembling and then started to scream as he felt his leg breaking from whatever this thing...that had him was doing.* "Stop! Please!" *Shouting could be heard from down the hall. Security had finally noticed that an unauthorized visitor had snuck in. They were searching rooms. "I didn't do anything! It wasn't my idea!" He cried, trying to reach for the door. He would have to get out of there and Liam would have to get control if they were to not get caught. Injured leg or not, Joel did not want to get caught. "It wasn't me...I was with them. I begged them not to play that game. I begged them to stop. Please..." He pleaded. The room three doors down was being searched.

*Joel was left behind and the security, being only two men, tried to separate to chase after the other. The other man was too fast and they didn't get a good look at him. However this man, the one on the floor screaming in agony, they picked up and carried off. Joel would be examined, treated, and then questioned.*

*The next day, Mariah's grandmother came in for a visit. She figured Liam had finally woke in the night and decided to return to his house. The doctor made his rounds late in the morning and Mariah's condition had not changed other than she was able to end the blood transfusion.*
